Travel

I haven't written here for a while, my Photo Blog and Flickr sites have taken up most of my time. The map below represents where I have lived, where I have passed through and where I would one day like to visit. Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Alan Johnston freed!

Alan Johnston, the abducted BBC journalist, was freed unharmed after 114 days in captivity. Nice when a story ends happily.

Wii-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

So I broke down and bought one of these and I must say, I like it. After the first couple of intense sports sessions my arm (elbow) was aching! My 2 year old daughter loves it too. She likes to grab the drum stick and pretend she's swinging at the baseball, except she hits the television screen! And she yells "YES!" when I knock down bowling pins or hit a home run. Cute! Rachel has played the bowling game with me and I think she enjoyed herself?!? She's better than me already! :(

I'm not going to write any sort of review, good or bad. I just wanted to say that I purchased a Wii and so far, so good!

Abducted Journalist

BBC correspondent Alan Johnston disappeared on his way home from his Gaza City office on March 12 . He is feared kidnapped in the lawless territory, where he is thought to have been the only international correspondent still working. Intensive efforts have been made to secure his release.

The BBC is hosting an online petition for Johnston's release here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/6518185.stm

There is a free button that can be added to blogs and websites to raise awareness about Johnston here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theeditors/2007/04/how_you_can_help.html

It's offficial!

Rachel is pregnant again! She is due in January 2008 and this time I'm hoping for a boy. I'm sure the going will get tough being that we are used to little girl-isms but I think Caley would enjoy having a little brother. Regardless, I'm sure she will be a wonderful big sister.

They say going from one child to two is the hardest so wish us luck! This should be an interesting next couple of years for sure! :)
